- Obtained first insurance position in Dublin in 1967
- Travelled to Canada in 1970, liked it and stayed
- Joined Firstbrook & Cassie Limited in 1973 where the firm grew along with Don’s career
- Graduated to Partner in 1979 and President in 1990

Brenda Rose, Vice President

- Broker-licenced in 1984, and arrived at Firstbrook & Cassie in 1985
- Joined management team in 1996, became Vice-President in 2000 and Partner in 2009
- BA from University of Toronto in 1984, CIP designation in 1996
- Past president of Toronto Insurance Conference and director of Insurance Brokers Association of Canada, with continuing industry leadership on key issues
